CHILTERN LANDCARE GROUP

The Chiltern Landcare Group undertakes projects in the township of Chiltern and across a broad rural area. The group focuses on providing opportunities for their community to engage with nature and learn more about their local environment.

About Chiltern Landcare

The Chiltern Landcare Group covers the area of the upper catchment of the Black Dog Creek, includes Chiltern, Indigo and Cornishtown. The area covers more than 300sq km of farmland, state forests and the Chiltern Box-Ironbark Forest.

Currently the group is focused on restoration works on local reserves and improving the biodiversity values of local agricultural land. The group are offering subsidised paddock trees and large mesh guards to increase paddock trees in their landscape.

Chiltern Landcare welcomes new members and is always seeking new ideas for local projects. If you would like to join or for more information, please contact the Kerrie Warburton (contact details below)

This group is supported by Landcare Facilitator Kerrie Warburton 0418 427 730 landcare.kerrie@gmail.com.
