Whorouly Landcare Group

Whorouly landcare Group was established in 1992 and has assisted landholders to achieve better environmental outcomes through education & on ground works.

About Whorouly Landcare

The Whorouly Landcare Group is in the mid catchment of the Ovens River covering the township of Whorouly and surrounding farm land.

The initial impetus came mainly from farmers in the hill country where land degradation issues were a problem. Gully erosion, land slips, loss of vegetation, rabbit and weed control have all been tackled since that time.
