Rutherglen Landcare Group

The Rutherglen Landcare group aims to help landholders, of all shapes and sizes, care for their land.

They want to protect and improve local reserves, farms, and backyards, to care for their native environment and their community.

About Rutherglen Landcare

Rutherglen Landcare aims to help local landholders care for their land.

The group wants to see productive farms and healthy soils, in a truly Australian landscape of iconic gums and ecosystems supporting native wildlife in the long term.

As a group, they support the environment through:

  • Community education by engaging expert speakers, holding workshops and farm walks.
  • Providing subsidised native plants, fox baits and occasionally weed control for our members.
  • Obtaining funds for specific environmental works highlighted by members.
  • Organising volunteering days for weed and pest control, revegetation planting or other environmental works.
  • Wildlife and nest box monitoring.

Rutherglen Landcare's events are a great chance for socialising and meeting new people. Why not join the Facebook page and find out about events that may interest you, or better still join the group and be part of your local environmental movement.

All Rutherglen Landcare members are welcome to attendee committee meetings as an observer. All enquiries are welcome via the secretary Jenny at contact@lyricolives.com.au

This group is supported by Landcare Facilitator Kerrie Warburton 0418 427 730 landcare.kerrie@gmail.com.
